Workshops of Clubs' Security Coordinators Tackle Several Theoretical Lectures & Practices


Workshops of Clubs' Security Coordinators have been launched Sunday morning 9th Sept. 2012 at Dubai Police Officers' Club to pave the way for launching “Dubai International Forum for Sports Stadiums”, upcoming Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th Sept.

 “Dubai International Forum for Sports Stadiums” – to be joined with elite group of specialists – is decided to be arranged by Dubai Sports Council in coordination with Dubai Police.

The Forum to be arranged as per directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai & Chairman of DSC aiming to provide security means for all sports activities, arranged in Dubai. The Forum is also part of permanent efforts, exerted by DSC & Dubai Police to maintain safety & security for sportspersons, who join various sports events.

H.E. Major General/ Mohammed Aid Al-Mansouri, Director of Facilities' Security and Emergency Directorate, inaugurated the workshops in the presence of Brigadier/ Ahmed Khalfan Al-Mansouri.

H.E. Mohammed Aid Al-Mansouri welcomed the attendees & appreciated the positive response of clubs to this initiative.

H.E. Major General/ Mohammed Aid Al-Mansouri confirmed that security measures to be imposed by several parties in society; top of is the security’s body in the state. Security to be boosted via common efforts to be exerted by individuals, corporations & other sports communities.

Dubai Police, DSC, UAE Football Association, clubs & Professionals League Committee shall all act in coordination to enhance security in order to avert riots and to enable spectators enjoy high technical sports performance. 

H.E. Mohammed Al-Mansouri referred that clubs’ Broads to present distinctive role in this particular scope. Boards may appoint security staff and teach players & administrators to act in full sports & moral levels.

H.E. Mohammed Al-Mansouri wished success for participants in the workshops, which are decided to include several specialized lectures & training sessions. He invited them all to join the International Forum’s events, which are scheduled to tackle various experiences acquired from most eminent regional & international championships.

3 Lectures during the 1st Day:
The workshops’ first day included three lectures. Mr. Tilal Abdulla Al-Mansouri talked on tasks of clubs’ security coordinators emphasizing the importance of this role to provide secured atmosphere for spectators in various sports events. Captain/ Ahmed Al-Hadid presented a lecture on “Pre-Match Coordinating Meetings” in which he explained mechanisms to deal with sports teams.

Mr. Ahmed Yaqoub, Director of Referees Dept. in UAE Football Association concluded the 1st day with a lecture under title “Arts of Discourse in Pitches” in which he tackled most eminent methods, to be adopted by referees to control matches & players. 

Second Day's Lectures
The second day to be launched Monday 10th Sept. 2012 at 08:00 am. with several lectures to be arranged under supervision of specialists & experts. The second day’s lectures to focus on several topics; top of which are: “Security of Main Platform in Stadiums”  / “Organizational Measures on Match’s Day” / “Enhancement of Security in Stadiums” / “Requirements of Organizing Sports Events”/ “Inspection of Spectators”.

The last day to include a lecture on “Security Needs during Important Matches” along with another lecture on “Means to Deal with Suspects”. Colonel/ Richard Olzewski, from French Police, to present a lecture on “Pitches’ Riots”. Practical sessions to be arranged on methods of deploying security staff around pitches along with evacuation scenario.
